Some mares sometimes exhibit excessive excitability during heat, making them difficult to work with. This situation may be due to an ovarian cycle disruption with excessive heat, but very often it results from the enlargement of the ovary as ovulation approaches. Since the ovary is suspended from the lumbar arch by a ligament, its increasing weight causes inflammation of the suspensory ligament, which can be particularly painful. This pain increases with work. "Oestracalm" helps to alleviate these ovarian disturbances and better focus the mares' attention during work.
Indications: temperamental or irascible mares during heat. Regulates ovarian enlargement. Regulates the ovarian cycle.
