Federal Outdoor Guide, Gallops 1 to 4
The great outdoors is yours!
The Federal Guide to Outdoor Galops® explains everything you need to know and know how to do to go outdoors with your pony or horse, first in a group and then alone, in complete safety. It details the specific knowledge needed to prepare for and successfully pass the Outdoor Galops® 1 to 4 of the French Equestrian Federation.
It is an outdoor riding manual for experienced riders who, for example, want to get started in trail riding or obtain their Federal Horse Permit. The Galops® 1 to 4 program is covered thematically. General knowledge is developed in the first three chapters.
The Guide opens with the rules of caution and safety .
Knowledge of the environment is the subject of a chapter illustrated with drawings to encourage the recognition of flora and fauna.
The third chapter is devoted to topography and orientation .
The following chapters are organized like the Rider's Galops® and the Pony Galops®. They detail, in each area, the skills specific to outdoor riding. Caring for the horse and its equipment distinguishes between care before, during, and after the ride.
Equestrian Practice on Foot and Equestrian Practice on Horseback provide key points for outdoor use around horses and on horseback. Succeeding in Your Outdoor Galops® provides session objectives and self-assessment sheets to help you prepare for and review your Galops®.
