France is the first country to establish a standard governing the manufacture of equestrian airbags (EPI), the NF S72-800-2022 standard, which provides enhanced protection for riders. Pending European harmonization, this standard defines strict criteria, including the protective surface area, inflation speed, and more stringent impact tests.
The EQUITHÈME AIR2 airbag, developed by FREEJUMP, fully meets this new standard thanks to its characteristics:
- Ultra-fast inflation speed: 115 ms to reach the required pressure during impact tests for a size M.
- Extended coverage area: exceeds the requirements of the NF standard by including longitudinal impacts in the back.
- Lower back protection: Thanks to press studs, the airbag can be adjusted according to riding use and offers additional protection in the event of a fall.
- Lightness: only 900g with the cartridge for a size M.
